Workflow Automation Using Cloud Elements’ Formulas and Trigger Events

Our Customer Enablement Manager, Clayton Shaver, recently demoed how to write Formulas in the newly released Cloud Elements 2.0. Here are few tips and instructions to help you use both our original Formula Builder as well as the new Formula-as-a-Resource feature!

What Are Formula Templates?

Let’s start with a little bit of context around what Formulas are and how we use them. Just like we have Elements and instances of Elements in our platform, we also have Formula Templates and instances of Formulas. It’s an important distinction to make when you’re looking at the Cloud Elements platform versus other workflow orchestration tools out there – when you start writing a Formula in Cloud Elements you’re really starting at the template level. So the idea here is that you are creating a generic template that you can instantiate multiple times, to a variety of use cases for workflow automation. https://goo.gl/PQSrc7 #DataIntegration #ML

The API Portal Outline for a Project I Am Working On

ICYDK: I am working through a project for a client, helping them deliver a portal for their API. As I do with any of my recommendations with my clients, I take my existing API research and refine it to help craft a strategy to meets their specific needs. Each time I do this it gives me a chance to rethink some of my recommendations I’ve already gathered, as well as learn from new types of projects. I’ve taken the building blocks from my API portal, as well as my API management research, and have taken a crack at organizing them into an outline that I can use to guide my current project.

Here is a walkthrough of the outline I’m recommending as part of a basic API portal implementation, to support a simple public API: https://goo.gl/AHq45Y #DataIntegration #ML
