So you’ve read over the technical documents regarding Ground2Cloud and you look like Linguini trying to understand how Remy the mouse learned to cook. They say I have a technical background (a term used as loosely as possible with me), and I still don’t fully understand what this product does. So, I asked around and got a high-level idea of what is going on.

Reuse Driven by DataType

#ICYDK: Raml 1.0 introduces a new concept called DataType. This fragment is used to declare type in a separate yaml file. This is not just a simplification of JSON schema to conform raml/yaml. Anyone who has designed an API knows that it is probably always necessary to define custom data structures as simple data types are not meaningful enough.
