A Scalable API Definition Driven API Design Workflow With API Governance
ICYDK: There is a lot of talk of an API design-first way of doing things when it comes to delivering microservices. I’m seeing a lot of organizations make significant strides towards truly decoupling how they deliver the APIs they depend on, and continue to streamline their API lifecycle, as well as governance. However, if you are down in the weeds, doing this work at scale, you know how truly hard it is to actually get everything working in concert across many different teams. While I feel like I have many of the answers, actually achieving this reality, and assembling the right tools and services for the job is much harder then it is in theory.
There was a question posted on API Craft recently that I think gets at the challenges we all face: https://goo.gl/ULzCdE #DataIntegration #ML
Integration Roundup: Wash Your Mouth Out With SOAP
Welcome to this edition of the Integration Roundup! Last time, we covered API Management. In today’s post, we’ll take a look at the SOAP pattern for software architecture. In the posts enumerate below, we’ll see what the DZone community is up to regarding the SOAP architectural pattern, how they’re using it in their integration project, and how they believe it stacks up to REST.
And, as a quick side note, if you’re interested in writing for DZone, but don’t have a topic in mind, come check out our Bounty Board, where you can win prizes for providing great content, and our Writer’s Zone which has plenty of prompts, tips, and tricks! https://goo.gl/FCxzmq #DataIntegration #ML
